The Wonders of 7.

Finally decided to reformat my Windows XP to the new Windows 7.
I have to say, it's freaking heart wrenching to delete part of my anime collection just to speed up the backup transfers.

Since the 16th of April '10 when the order was placed,
Anxiety, wait, anticipation was high.
Up to the moment where it was delivered yesterday that all the feelings cleared.

The first startup

I was kinda sexcited when I saw that it came with Windows 7 Home Basic 64bit, thinking that it was better in performance compared to the 32bit version. But little did I know that it sucked to the max.
With the addition of Dell's default shitty programs, it only slowed down the computer. To add to the frustration, it didn't have much of its Windows Aero theme enabled. Which was quite a disappointment considering the spec of the laptop that's able to support it.

Anyway, in the end I decided to reformat the OS to Ultimate. Heck cares about the warranty =P

Overall the fair was ok, as usual very packed and all the goodies had been sold out at day 1.
But it's worth to go, got myself some computer peripherals and more importantly, the pictures =P.

It's just AMAZING.

It's amazing how fast we lost the impression of someone we just met.
It's also amazing to experience a dramatic rejection right in front of your eyes.
It's pretty amazing when we can just bump into someone we don't really know and start chatting.
It's also quite amazing that we both know and don't know each other when we are just so close.
It's even more amazing to see the events in life, both good and bad happen so quickly.

why is it so amazing?
because i've gone through it.

Found this very effective way to focus and study --- get my ass to the college library and stay there till the evening dusk comes around.
Though i'm not 100% focused all the time but it does help. Be it in anyway, understanding or memorizing. Some parts of the subject is easily understood therefore gets into your mind easily. Some harder parts can get into your mind through embedding and imprinting the sight of that particular slide/page LOL!

Nevertheless, it makes me focus. Sure works for me (:
